Kushagra Institute of Information and Management Science, Cuttack: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Kushagra Institute of Information and Management Science or KIIMS, is smoothly operating in the city of Cuttack, Odisha and was founded in 1999. KIIMS is a affiliated college located in-between two twin cities Bhubaneswar – Cuttack which has been polishing talent for more than two decades. The institute occupies a rather small campus of 3.557 acres so the concentration on the process of learning is fully within its students. KIIMS provides two postgraduate courses namely MBA and MCA and both of them are being run full time. 

Kushagra Institute of Information and Management Science loves to boast of the adequate and up to date facilities that are available to compliment learning among the students. The institute has decked hostel facilities for both male and female students to enable them live conveniently and securely. The hostels have provisions for telephone, television, magazines, newspaper, and indoor games, etc, providing a healthy developmental environment. KIIMS pays special attention on the students’ health with first aid facility within the premises and has associations with nearby medical colleges for medical emergencies. Library is the largest resource centre in the institute is featuring more than 12000 books and is spread in an area of 6500 sq ft. It has digital air conditioned library facility for one hundred and twenty students for library studies and research works.

The institute offers two full-time postgraduate courses: An MBA and MCA programmes – the former being a two year MBA programme and the later being a three year MCA programme. There is no clear number of students that are supposed to be taken with these courses, however, KIIMS prefers to take limited numbers of students per course to enhance learning. The course that is offered in the institute targets information technology and management science as a preparation for the volatile areas of business and technology.

KIIMS admission values and seeks to enroll qualifying students in its programmes through the process. However, there is no mention of the particular dates for the examinations and the admission dates .These seminars include exposures to number of national and international projects making a balance between the theoretical knowledge that we gain during the course and the practical knowledge required in the industry. It is also apparent therefore that the institute is keen to provide education to the entire student; this is because it accords importance to the sports activities.
