Lala Lajpat Rai College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai, is a world-class institution providing quality education in Commerce and Economics. The college has a rigorous admission procedure in place to identify meritorious candidates for its different undergraduate and postgraduate programs. 1. For undergraduate programs (B.Com, BMS, B.Com Accounting and Finance, B.Com Banking and Insurance, B.Sc IT):

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Com: B.Com course of Lala Lajpat Rai College has a strength of 480 seats. It is open for admission to candidates on the basis of the marks scored by them in 12th standard. The course cost is nearly Rs 21,272.

BMS: BMS course consists of 240 seats. Being a course with high demand, it is possible that it may have its own admission process. The overall course cost for the course is about Rs 53,922.

B.Com Accounting and Finance: This course has 120 seats. Admission is on a merit basis, and the seats are reserved according to government policy.

B.Com Banking and Insurance: Having an intake capacity of 60 seats, this program also operates on the basis of a merit-based admission process, based on government reservation policies.

B.Sc Information Technology: The college provides 60 seats for this course. Admission information is the same as that of other undergraduate programs.

M.Com Accountancy and M.Com Business Management: Both the postgraduate courses have an admission of 60 seats for each course. The overall fee of these courses comes to around Rs 31,029.

Ph.D Programs: Doctoral programs are available in Commerce and Trade Transport and Industry in the college. Applicants for admission to Ph.D. programs must take the Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) organized by the University of Mumbai. NET/SET valid scores from agencies such as CSIR-NET or UGC-NET by applicants are exempted from taking the PET.
