Lilawati Devi Mahavidyalaya, Deoria was established in 2013 as an affiliated college at Haraiya, Sohanaria, Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. This is an NCTE-approved institution that runs teacher education programmes. The college has a campus area of 2.5 acres. Total students strength is 649. The faculty strength is 32. The institution runs two regular degree courses: Lilawati Devi Mahavidyalaya for budding educators with a view to elementary and secondary education. 

The institution has in its array numerous amenities helping in augmenting the learning processes and the overall development of its students. A well-stocked library serves as a knowledge centre and provides necessary help in efficiently pursuing academic objectives. Sports facilities are prided with infrastructure for athletics, hockey, football, volleyball, cricket, badminton, table-tenis, handball, and kabaddi. The college-level Sports Council of the college organizes selection trials from time to time so that interested and talented students can represent in inter-university level tournaments. Laboratories on the department levels have been built on campus for practical, hands-on learning in subjects requiring experiments and hands-on skills, like teacher training courses. The primary courses being offered by Lilawati Devi Mahavidyalaya in the education sector are Bachelor of Education which is famously referred to as B.Ed and Diploma in Elementary Education, also known as D.El.Ed. Both the above programs are two-year regular courses, adding up to a total of 200 seats in both. The courses of the college are framed and oriented to enable the students to acquire necessary competencies and knowledge, thereby enabling them to become effective teachers at a variety of levels within the education system.

Admission to Lilawati Devi Mahavidyalaya is done on merit basis following the policy framed by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh and affiliated university. Admissions to B.Ed. The course is based on the merit of the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. In the case of D.El.Ed course, it is by merit from the qualifying examination and/or entrance test. Years have passed, and the institution has grown but the zeal remains alive in grooming the future fraternity of educators and making a relevant contribution to teacher education in Uttar Pradesh and the nation.
