LJD College, Kolkata: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Established in 2016, LJD College, Kolkata, in West Bengal. Located at Barasat, South 24 Parganas, it is a co-educational institution conducting undergraduate courses under three broad streams: arts, commerce, and science. A sprawling campus of 22 acres provides the right atmosphere conducive to conducting academic pursuits and pursuing holistic development. The college, at present, has a small but manageable enrolment of 20 students who are looked after by an equally committed faculty of 16 members, ensuring care and attention to students.

The college prides itself on a multitude of modern facilities set up to enhance the learning experience and campus life. Students have facilities for practical work in the laboratories of Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany. The central library, close to the administrative office, functions as an information centre, making a quiet atmosphere for study and research work. Accommodation: With regard to accommodation, LJD College has on-campus hostels for both boys and girls. The attachable bathrooms with a double and triple sharing are available in the said rooms. There are facilities of round-the-clock CCTV in the hostels for safe and comfortable living of the residents.

The college has 17 undergraduate courses and 6 degree programs catering to diverse academic interests. Courses under LJD are humanities, sciences, and commerce as topics. All the courses are regular, full-time ones, aimed at inculcating in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the respective fields. 

The admission process in LJD College is purely merit-based and takes into consideration the performance of the Candidate in the 10+2 level examination. The students are selected for admission on the basis of the total marks obtained by them in the best four subjects of their higher secondary education.
