In 1974, the Malnad Technical Education Society (MTES) established M Krishna Law College in Hassan. M Krishna Law College is acknowledged by both the University Grants Commission and the Bar Council of India. The M Krishna Law College has been accredited with a B+ grade by NAAC.

Affiliated with Karnataka State Law University, Hubli, M Krishna Law College offers an LLB programme that lasts 3 years at the undergraduate level.
