Maa Durga Mahavidyalaya, Shahjahanpur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Maa Durga Mahavidyalaya was established in the year 2016 and is a C.B. Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh-affiliated college. The institution was built at Kajari Noorpur with the motto of providing quality education in the teaching field. Besides, it has approval from NCTE; hence, the structure of the courses offered by the institution and any other requirement comes under the national standards for teaching. Though the campus size remains unknown, this college offers two full-time courses with a total intake capacity of 200 students who wish to pursue their career as a teacher. 

This college's very famous aspects are its infrastructure and facilities. The library acts like an important resource center, providing students with immense educational materials for study. Interest in modernity in the college could also be affirmed by its brilliant IT infrastructure that helps the students to remain abreast of the progress made in the technological field of education. Departmental laboratories are available for practical learning through which the students can imbibe practical skills for teaching, and the Maa Durga Mahavidyalaya  also realises the importance of all-round development in education by providing sports facilities for the students to get physically fit and develop team spirit. 

Maa Durga Mahavidyalaya offers two specialised courses in education: the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) and the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.); both are regular courses, extending for a period of two years each. The D.El.Ed. course is designed for aspiring Primary School Teachers. It admits 100 students. Similarly, the B.Ed. course intended for preparing teachers at the secondary level is also offered to 100 students. These courses reflect the focus of the college towards rendering qualified and trained teachers at all levels of the system. 

The admission process at Maa Durga Mahavidyalaya is merit-based, considering marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The state government of Uttar Pradesh institutionalises the policies for student selection, with further affiliation from the affiliated university. Admission to D.El.Ed. is done in accordance with the merit list prepared from the qualifying examination scores or any other process as per state government guidelines. Although there is no information about scholarships, interested candidates may enquire directly with the college regarding any financial aid provided by the same. With a view to developing competent and skilled educators and taking a focused approach in the direction of teacher education and modern facilities so that the end products can be positively contributory to the field of education, Maa Durga Mahavidyalaya was started. For an institution relatively young, it is one that continues to grow and adjust to satisfy the evolving needs of the sector of education.
