The Madha College of Education for women was started in the academic year 2008 at kunrathur, Chennai The College is affiliated to. This is a co-education institution and is also recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for the standard quality of teacher education. Puncturing a small plot of 13.9 acres of land the college provides an exclusive environment for potential teachers. The college that takes a total of 96 students admits only 8 faculties which offer individual attention to the students studying in Madha College of Education. The institute currently only has one programme of study the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) which is in line with the institute’s specialisation in training teachers.

This was observed as Madha College of Education is a College exclusively for teacher education and it only offers a full time B.Ed programme. This two year course aims at producing competent teachers for Schools / Colleges and caters an approved intake capacity of One hundred students. No other college offers B.Ed leading to such tremendous opportunities for specialised and intensive teacher training college so that out coming Trainee teachers are fully prepared to face challenges of the modern era. Qualitative information as to the number and number of graduates is however missing although the college has approved NCTE and fully equipped.
