Madurai Sivakasi Nadars Pioneer Meenakshi Women’s College, Poovanthi, Sivagang district, Tamil Nadu, was founded in 1999 Education and at present, is being given importance as it helps in the overall development of the students. The college is affiliated with the Alagappa University, Karaikudi. The institution is recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is located on a spacious 15 acre land. The college has 1,421 students with 68 members of the teaching faculty; the college offers 16 courses spread across nine degree programmes. At present, the student population is made up of 94 % undergraduate and 6% postgraduate students all of whom are from the state.

In addition, the college offers M.Phil programme in Tamil language for the students.
