Maghi Memorial College for Women (MMCW), Amloh was recognised in year 1995 in Fatehgarh Sahib district of Punjab as a women’s college. Located in a small area of 5 acres, this college provides the best education programmes required by young women in this and surrounding areas. The college offers its education to 79 students with 14 faculties which make learning unique and personal. The college offer 6 degree programmes that cut across different fields to make sure that their student receives a balance of education.

MMCW offers a variety of facilities with the aim of improving the mode of teaching and learning. The students interested in sports can enjoy various facilities for the indoor and outdoor sports that they can participate in. These include badminton, cricket, volleyball, and basketball with offering coaching service to the participants. The facility includes spacious meeting room for occasions such as events, seminars, exhibitions, among others and laboratory rooms for every department to improve the practice of the cases taught in class. Emergency treatment provisions include presence of a health centre to attend to the needs of the students which has first aid facilities is also availed as a clean cafeteria, to give the student hygienically prepared food in a comfortable place. At present, the college possesses computerised aids and internet accessibility in computerised labs to allow every student to afford one-dimensional knowledge in a technological society.

MMCW provides 6 depths programmes as all courses of this institution are full time. This includes the undergraduate programmes as BA, BCA, B.Com, and the postgraduate programmes PGDCA and MA Sociology. In addition, the college offers the following diploma programmes, Diploma in Child Care Management. At present, BCA programme offers intake of 50 students whereas B.Com has the capacity of 60 students and at PGDCA level 40 students are admitted. Thus, the programme offers greater diversity thus allowing the students select specific programmes that will suit their respective needs and dreams in future.
