Mahadev B.Ed College is an affiliated college, located in Chhoti Khatu, Nagaur district of Rajasthan, that came into existence in 2006. This is a co-educational institute, which focuses itself on teacher education programmes and which is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education or NCTE. The college has limited students with 59 students and with 14 faculties where colleges provide an excellent personal touch. The institution offers three full time programmes, which are B.Ed., BA B.Ed., and B.Sc B.Ed.

Mahadev B.Ed College has a variety of amenities that to aid the student’s experience and facilitate learning in their college years. The library stores 3000 books mostly focusing on teacher’s education, technology, psychology, and teaching methods. Also, its collection includes 200 reference books, 5 journals (three of them being professional educational journals), as well as a set of encyclopedias. To support skills practice, the college has a computer laboratory with 5 computers to allow the learner use and access to computer-based learning resources and the internet. The institution also focuses on physical health with provisions of sporting facilities to both indoor and outdoor sports, a health centre where first aid is provided.

Three full time courses that is provided by Mahadev B.Ed College. These courses conducted in college are full time and focus on preparing students as educators. The flagship product of the college is the B.Ed programme which the college is allowed to admit 100 students for two years. BA B.Ed and B.Sc B.Ed both are integrated courses which are of four years duration each. These programmes include content knowledge and methods courses so that candidates are prepared for the classroom. The total number of programmes seat for the college is 59 and the percentage shows that the learning process of the college is well focused and performs much intimately.

The admission policy of the Mahadev B.Ed. College is in agreement with the guidelines laid down by the State Government, UT Administration and the university with which the college is affiliated. As for the B.Ed., candidates are selected based on their performance in the previous qualifying exam and/or entrance test. It may also apply any other methods of selection as might be required by the regulatory authorities.

There are hostels that house the male and female students separately. There is also an auditorium for occasions such as meetings and seminars, a canteen for provisions, and various guest rooms, for lectures and faculty as well as family, respectively. These and other facilities in addition to the colleges specific focus on education students maintain a positive environment for students to develop into educators.
