Mahalakshmi College For Girls, Ghaziabad: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Mahalakshmi College for Girls, Ghaziabad was set up in 2005. It is located at the 11th km. Milestone, Delhi Meerut Road. It is one of the all-girls educational institutions that has been approved by NCTE, New Delhi, which organises quality teacher education. Spreading over an area of 17 acres, the college currently runs four different degree courses constituting a total students' enrolment of 340. The faculty strength is 48; the student-to-teacher ratio is very impressive. Mahalakshmi College for Girls has built its academic profile mainly in the fields of commerce and teacher education, having specialized programmes in B.Com, B.Ed., M.Ed., and M. Phil in Education. 

The college provides several infrastructural facilities that make learning and the development of students meaningful within the college. The library has above 10,000 books on its shelves and numerous national and international journals. The campus has a well-equipped medical facility with a dispensary and a regular medical officer. The college also has extensive sports facilities, with large playgrounds for outdoor games, such as cricket, football, and volleyball and a skilled indoor sports complex for the proper conductance of table tennis, badminton, and chess. A modern gymnasium is also available for the physical health of the students. Mahalakshmi College for Girls conducts four full-time courses at different levels.

B.Com has the highest intake with 120 seats, followed by B. Ed with 100. The M. Ed opens 25 seats at the postgraduate level of education while the M. Phil in Education course only gets 10 students enrolled. All these courses are full time and take two to three years. Total intake of students in all these courses amounts to 255 that reflects the policy towards providing quality education within a more intimate setting. 

Admission Process Mahalakshmi College for Girls Admission Process differs course by course. Admission to B.Ed. course shall strictly be on merit solely considering the aggregate marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination. It may also be covered with other choice parameters as are determined by the State Government, UT Administration, and University. In case of M.Ed., admission will be done on merit basis on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, entrance examination, or any other process as notified by the competent authority. Since there is a good system of admission well-formalised in this college, these processes of admissions are pretty fair and transparent.
