Mahamaya Rajkiya Mahavidyalaya, Dhanupur came into existence in the year 2009. It is an affiliated college that comes under the jurisdiction of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. This is a co-educational institution seated on a compact campus of 1.4 acres. The college offers a number of undergraduate programmes to the students. Currently, the college has 203 students and 15 faculty members.

Mahamaya Rajkiya Mahavidyalaya possesses some of the most crucial facilities for academic and co-curricular exercises. The library functions as a treasure trove for the students, having a stock of text books and reference materials in most subjects. For practical learning, there exist departmental laboratories furnished with necessary tools and equipment. In the college computer laboratory, there are 15 computers to improve the IT skills as well as the digital learning capabilities of the students.

Mahamaya Rajkiya Mahavidyalaya provides four undergraduate courses on full-time. These are followed by the Bachelors' degrees which include Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com), and the other two Bachelors' degrees comprising Bachelor of Science (B Sc) with Mathematics and Bachelor of Science (B. Sc) with Biology. All these courses have been set as three-year full time courses where students can dig deep into their respective fields of study.
