Mahant Darshan Das Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Muzaffarpur, popularly abbreviated as MDDM Muzaffarpur, is a prominent women's educational institution. Established in 1946 at Muzaffarpur, Bihar, this constituent college of B. R. A. Bihar University has nurtured young women and provided them with the right platform to paint their future for over seven decades. The college is NAAC-accredited, and the NCTE-approved college offers 23 courses with an eclectic mix over 8 degrees. Spread over 4 acres, the college caters to an enrolment of 4,891 students in aggregate and assists them through a faculty of devoted 63 members, all for the cause of students who want to be successful female scholars.

The college is a place where most deep senses of gratification are depicted through the provision of all the facilities that could help imbibe a holistic learning process. Mahant Darshan Das Mahila Mahavidyalaya has an extensive library with over 75,000 books on all subjects; periodicals, journals and newspapers act like a treasure house of knowledge for the students. There is also adequate sports facility in the college, where several outstanding sports persons came to train. MDDM Muzaffarpur is always supplemented with a variety of courses for any academic student. This college admits 23 courses in full-time postgraduate and undergraduate levels. Some of the programs contain B.Com, BA, B.Sc, BCA Vocational, BBA Vocational, MA in various arts subjects, and M.Sc in sciences. One of its important programs offered in this college is the B.Ed program with approved intake of 100 seats.

The main basis for admissions in MDDM Muzaffarpur is through merit, which is based on the marks secured in qualifying examinations. In some cases such as B.Ed., the admission may be through entrance examinations or other selection procedures, if any, as may be prescribed within the policy of State Government, UT administration and the university.
