Maharaja Polytechnic College, Sivaganga: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

This private affiliated college was started in 2010, and is located at SV Mangalam Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu. Affiliated to All India Council for Technical Education AICTE, this establishment provides diploma courses in a host of engineering streams. The college is located in a small plot of 5.17 acres of land and its current student strength is 233 while it has 41 teachers already. The courses offered includes five diploma courses; all these are offered on full time basis and is aimed at preparing students for technical courses in engineering.

The college provides a variety of amenities to cater for the needs of the students within their academic and personal development. In this case, its IT facilities make certain the students have opportunities to learn with modern technologies. In the next level, the campus has installed laboratory facilities for each department, designed for practical-learning. A knowledge centre is vital to students and instructors as a library. Concerning health, there are places to exercise, playing fields that are essential to installing discipline within the compound of the firm. The college also has facilities for an auditorium for occasions and seminars to enhance its campus activities. A zonal first aid health centre provides for the basic medical amenities that may be required in case of an emergency. Also important is a canteen that provides foods for breakfast, lunch and supper for students and staff; which enhance comfortable atmosphere to all.

At Maharaja Polytechnic College it has five diploma courses and all these are day courses. These courses cut across a broad discipline of engineering so students are presented with the greatest choice to pursue whichever course they have a preference for depending on their dream career. The courses are Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Civil, Auto Mobile, Electronics and Communication. The number of approved intake is 300 which is for all courses together and this total approved intake show the capacity of this college to provide numerous numbers of engineers each year. Graduation data for the latest year is not available however, the seats available as of the current enrolment prove that the college is steadily helping students complete their programmes; currently, 233 students are enrolled in the college.

The admission procedures of Maharaja Polytechnic College are very simple and follow the merit rules. The Bangladesh qualifications mentioned above are offered for all the three-year full-time diploma courses for which there is admission strictly on merit basis in terms of marks obtained in the SSLC examination. The college also follows the rule stated by the Government of Tamil Nadu to provide some post for OC, BC, MBC, SC, ST and other relevant categories. It is also flexible to guarantee that the students undergoing admission have similar opportunities compared to other students.
