Maharaja Surajmal Mahavidhyalaya, Bharatpur, was established by Maharaja Surajmal Shiksha Samiti in the year 2009 at Januthar (Deeg), Bharatpur, Rajasthan, as an affiliated College. This is a co-educational institution located in a small piece of land that occupies only 3.1 acres of land, providing a niche market. The college has 281 students and 6 faculties, which make the ratio of student to faculty very reasonable and teacher so that students can get individual attention. At the moment, the institute is accredited to offer only one programme, the Bachelor of Arts (BA), with certified intake of one hundred and thirty students. All in all, Maharaja Surajmal Mahavidhyalaya has dedicated itself to the task of offering quality education in the arts stream curriculum even though the institution is young in age.

This is a three-year undergraduate degree and we have been approved to take 130 students for this course; we have however managed to maintain the policy of other colleges of taking only a manageable number of students per class so as to enhance the teaching-learning process. Though this institute offers only one degree programme, it proves that it has a commitment to the fundamental degree in arts.
