Maharani Lal Kunwari PG College, Balrampur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Maharani Lal Kunwari PG College was founded in 1955 at Balrampur, and it is one of the pioneering educational institutes in Uttar Pradesh, India. The affiliated college sprawls over 28.26 acres, with a huge variety of academic courses. It enrols 7,301 students in total, while the faculty strength is 78, providing a conducive learning environment. 

The facilities provided in the college are also helping in nourishing the students in their studies and building their personalities. The institute has a well-equipped library spread over 122,000 square feet with more than 110,299 books and rare manuscripts, fully complemented with modern facilities like Wi-Fi and INFLIBNET access. There is also a provision for 218 computers in the departments so that students get the necessary IT infrastructure for their studies. The institution offers a total of 32 courses ranging from full-time degree courses to research opportunities. Some of the courses at the undergraduate level include B.A and B.Sc. Maths and Bio-Wing), B.Com, and BCA at the undergraduate level. The postgraduate programs include M.Sc. in many disciplines, M.Com, and M.A. programs.

The admission process in Maharani Lal Kunwari PG College is mainly based on merit. Almost all the undergraduate courses are admission-based, entirely dependent on the marks in the qualifying examination. Admission to the postgraduate course is done within the available limits of seats where merit forms the basis of admission. For the B.Ed program, the college has a similar arrangement wherein admission is on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination or through entrance examination conducted by the college, based on state government policy and university guidelines.
