The Maharashtra Institute of Technology Aurangabad was founded in the year 2001 under the umbrella of the Gramaudyogik Shikshan Mandal (GSM), Aurangabad. MIT Aurangabad is dedicated to allocating its resources to bridge the widening gap between the demands of the job market and the skills, attitudes, and capabilities of its students. It is actively working on strategies to transform itself into a hub for lifelong learning. MIT Aurangabad is an autonomous institution with a permanent affiliation to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. Furthermore, it holds recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has received an 'A' grade accreditation from NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). The courses offered at MIT Aurangabad are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Delhi, and the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra.
