Maharshi Devraha Baba Autonomous State Medical College, Deoria: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The Maharshi Devraha Baba Autonomous State Medical College (MDBMC) was only recently set up in 2021 and is considered a premier medical facility in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. As a state medical college society registered under the Act of XXI of 1860, MDBMC is affiliated to Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow. NMC recognizes the college and it currently has only one course –Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. MDBMC is located on a large area of 28.18 acres and has a fully functional teaching hospital to ensure student’s practical learning. This college has a strength of 45 members of faculty and is committed in providing excellent medical education to the persons interested in getting into healthcare sector. 

Another portfolio by MDBMC presents a quantity of amenities available for boosting the learning of students. It also has two separate hostels for boys and girls to provide the outstation students a comfortable accommodation facility. A good library is a workshop where all sorts of medical literature and other knowledge are stored and can be accessed by members. The college also provides sophisticated laboratories for departments that allow learners to be practical in their particular areas of specialization. For those who prefer some physical exercise there is a sports hall on the campus and with this HNU ensures that its students follow a balanced lifestyle. 

The above college currently provides only one course, which is the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). This is a complete program which takes six years and is recognized as an undergraduate course, delivered to students who have completed their 12th standard. Currently, MDBMC warrants an approved intake of one hundred (100) students for the MBBS program to enhance individualized student teaching ratios. 

NEET-UG scores determine the list of students to be admitted to the MBBS programme in MDBMC. Those who pass the NEET UG usually know when it is out which is usually in June, then go for counseling which may be state and all India. Admission to the college is purely on merit bases, this means only the best candidates are allowed to join the program. Potential learners should be informed that the NEET UG 2024 results were released on 4 June with admission to the upcoming academic year starting immediately. The current details concerning the scholarships are still unknown, but this moot point, students are advised to go for government and private scholarships to attend medical school as an MDBMC students.
