Affiliated college MAIET or Mahath Amma Institute of Engineering and Technology is situated in Pudukkottai in Tamil Nadu and was founded only in 2009. This B. Tech., institution is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E.) and is located in a 13 acre campus. The subject specialisations of MAIET are grouped under 3 degrees, 14 courses taught to a total student enrolment of 398. The institute currently has a total faculty of one hundred and nine members thus favoring student-teacher ratio. MAIET is a premier institution for engineering and technology and offers specific courses in fields of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Computer Science & Engineering and Agricultural Engineering.

The institute aspires to make the necessary provisions in order to create favorable learning conditions for its students. MAIET men and women hostels, full of affluent rooms, bounded water round the clock, laundry and hygienically/Mess managed including women’s hostels separately. The facility other facilities include a fully stocked library which has over 15,000 volumes of textbooks, reference books as well as national and international journals. In order to promote sound academic and physical development, students have access to well-equipped laboratories, a gymnasium, and sports facilities. It also has a good information technology platform that enhances the college’s IT digital learning programs.

MAIET makes available all types of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. 10 undergraduate courses are offered by the institute including BE Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, B.Tech Agricultural Engineering, Artificial Intelligence Data Science. At post graduate level MAIET offers 5 ME programmes in specialised areas of Embedded Systems, Power System Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. Besides, as part of its programmes, the institute currently provides MBA education. All courses are full-time and the total approved intake for the current year is 398 across a range of programmes.

MAIET has admission process to be conclusive and that according to their performance the students are allowed to join MAIET. In the case of the undergraduate civil engineering programme, the institute only accepts the TNEA counselling code. The scores of the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET), as well as the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA- PG) are considered during postgraduate admission for the ME programmes. candidacy, TANCET scores are also taken into account for admissions into the MBA programme.
