The Department of Mathematics was established on 22 August 1948. The department has the distinction of being one of the oldest departments of this college, offering courses at the UG and PG levels. The PG course was started in1967. The performance of the students is assessed by the group tutors and the tutorial system act as a grievance redressal forum. Remedial classes are conducted for weaker students. Among the five faculty members of the department, two are Ph.D. holders, and one among them is a research guide. Two teachers are doing research, leading to Ph.D. The department conducts free coaching for NET and SET examinations.
Eligibility Criteria
A person, who have passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) with science stream or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to, shall be eligible for the course.
