-The Mahatma Gandhi Mission’s College of Agricultural Biotechnology is a fast-growing agricultural biotechnology college in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. This affiliated college was set up in 2004, and for almost nineteen years, this institution has been producing the future agricultural biotechnologists. Located on 150 acres of land, the college has contemporary biotechnology at its core though it has its roots in agriculture. Student enrolment for the institute is 312 and faculty strength is 14 which keep the student-faculty ratio low for result-oriented education. In line with this, the B.Tech in Biotechnology which is the flagship programme of the college is geared towards state of the art agricultural research.

Mahatma Gandhi Mission’s College of Agricultural Biotechnology has a number of stellar Structural and infrastructural facilities that aim at the improvement of the learning facilities and the over all development of students. The area of the Sports Complex is 97,400 sq. m.; the complex contains indoor and outdoor games, fitness, sportive recreation, developing team spirit among the working team members. The college library is an informational resource, and functional training labs that prepare students in biotechnology methods are available. The university provides a venue for academic and cultural performances based in a modem auditorium for dynamic colours of campus life. The college also accords students the best health care with a health centre that includes first aid amenities, and gym for athletes. Computer laboratory with sixty computers and wireless internet connectivity throughout the colleges make students knowledgeable in Information Technology. 

Mahatma Gandhi Mission's College of Agricultural Biotechnology currently offers one full-time course: B.Tech in Biotechnology. This programme has an approved annual intake of one hundred students with the college committed to offering quality tertiary education in this specific area of study. The course is intended to advance the student’s understanding of biotechnology mainly in agriculture so as to enable him/her to work in research, industry or academia. As for the information regarding the graduates for the latest year, I could not find it Personal conversation with the college representatives showed that the college is quite small: now it comprises 312 students in total, across the years; however, most of them have been consistently learning in this sphere of engineering.

The admission criteria of Mahatma Gandhi Mission’s College of Agricultural Biotechnology include competition and merit. The college also acknowledges scores of the following standard entrance tests: JEE Main; NEET; ICAR AIEEA; MHT CET. We require the students who would be appearing to have done Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics in their 12th standard. MHT-CET, JEE, NEET or AIEEA-UG organised by the Competent Authority for the academic year is utilised in the B.Tech Biotechnology programme. This has made it possible for any qualified student with a desire to study agricultural biotechnology in this noble and respectable institution regardless of their schools’ background.
