Mahila Post Graduate College, Faizabad was established in the year 2001. It is located in Gadhdopur, Goshainganj, Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh, and is an affiliated college. The women's institution is approved by the National Council of Teacher Education, and is functioning with varied courses in both the streams at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. With a total enrolment of 1,072 students and a faculty strength of 26, the college provides a focused learning environment. It offers 9 courses across 6 degree programmes, having its main focus on arts, education, and physical education.

Admission procedure in Mahila Post Graduate College is different for different courses. The college offers BA based on merit. For B.Ed the candidates have to clear the entrance examination conducted by the government and then the candidates are selected based on their merit. In the case of B.P.Ed., the admission process is such that it includes a written test, fitness test, interview, and an aggregate percentage in the qualifying examination. Other postgraduate courses like MA in Home Science, Sociology, History, and Hindi have a merit system. In M.Ed., the marks at qualifying examination apply; however, in addition, an entrance examination or other process of selection is also put into place according to the policies of the government or university.
