Mahima Mahavidyalaya was established in the year 1978 is affiliated college situated at Bhubaneswar in Odisha state. The institution is located on a vast piece of land of 16.6 acres expands its courses in 6 degree programs where it offers 17 programs all in one. The college has 852 students and 28 faculty members, the college has created a good conducive environment for students learning. Thus, learning at Mahima Mahavidyalaya has been assured through accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The College teaches specialization in arts, science, and commerce for students with different interests in their course to take.

The college has a host of amenities that work towards the improvement of the college experience of the students. The library is also named after Srimat Jatia Baba has a collection of more than 11,000 books out of which the facility is partially automated helping students to undertake their academic studies easily. Victorian styled laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Mathematics give practical taste to their lessons. Out-station students are also provided comfortable accommodation through the college’s provision of accommodation in separate hostels for boys and girls. 

Gymnasium and other sports facilities which will be included facilitate people’s physical fitness and recreation. It accommodates contemporary mode of learning and has a hygienically and healthy meals selling canteen to the students. It is evident that an active Alumni Association is of great benefit to growth and development of any college.

It has in all, 17 courses affiliated to the institution and all these are full-time programs offered at Mahima Mahavidyalaya. UG programs offered by this college consist of Arts, Science & Commerce streams for the students.
