Mai Bhago Ayurvedic Medical College was started in 1995 and it is an affiliated college situated in Sri Muktsar Sahib, Punjab. This women’s college is affiliated to CCIM and offers education in Ayurveda. Located in a 5-acre area, this institute has 284 students and number of faculties are 22 in total. Mai Bhago Ayurvedic Medical College offers one course, the undergraduate Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) with a concentration in Ayurveda only. This is evident by the concentrate area and facilities the college has namely in providing Ayurvedic education.
It has Floating Operations, Computer Labs, Library, Health and Fitness Centre, Cafeteria, Guest House and Transport facilities for the students of the college. A library well equipped is an information center and contains literature required for the Ayurvedic course. It has well planned laboratory facilities equipped with modem equipment that has madejos practical study and research in Ayurveda.
In regard to physical fitness, the college provides equipment for physical activity such as the sport complex and a fitness center. A seminar or auditorium is provided where seminar and other related activities can easily be conducted to enhance an academic environment. The college also has a health centre whereby students receive first aid in the event of illness or injuries.
There is a cafeteria at the campus which provides diet requirement that students and staff of the school need. For instance, the college features a girls’ hostel which entails provision of hostels for comfort accommodation to students. Necessary IT facilities facilitate today’s teaching/learning processes, and comfortable guest rooms accommodate guest faculty, students and their off-campus family members.
Mai Bhago Ayurvedic Medical College offers only the BAMS course for which the duration is 6 years and it is a full time course. The college has an approved capacity to admit 60 student’s for this program, in a revelation of acceptable student teacher ratio. This approach helps the institution to harness all its resource and training on offering quality education in Ayurvedic medicine to the people. The BAMS course is intended to equip students with a broad understanding of traditional Ayurvedism and related practical experience as practitioners of Ayurvedic health system.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET is the major criterion through which Mai Bhago Ayurvedic Medical College is admitting students. This is the fundamental requirement for admission to this course, which is sat at the national level for students pursuing BAMS. The college follows the time schedule laid down by the regulatory authorities in regard to the admission process and generally follows NEET exam and counseling schedule. Freshers and other aspiring students are encouraged to follow the NEET exam dates which are often released by the NTA the earlier in the year.
After the release of NEET results, the college is involved in the counselling centralizes process to fill the seat. Scholarship information for MAMS Ayurveda is not forth-coming, however, there are several government and private scholarships offered for which students may apply for Ayurveda. The college is offering education only for women in Ayurveda and expands the number of women involved in traditional Indian medicine.

No doubt that college infrastructure is fine. Benches, fans, lights, board are well maintained. Library and laboratories are also well maintained. Smart classes are also used here. There is separate hostel for outsiders which provide Clean space n hygienic food.
