MITS Rayagada: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

MITS Rayagada or officially known as Majhighariani Institute of Technology Science, Rayagada, is one of the largest engineering universities in the country, founded in 1999. This affiliated college is in Sriram Vihar, Rayagada, Odisha and its area of coverage is a 12.03 acres land. MITS Rayagada is recognised by teh All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) which is responsible for the good results of the institution offering different engineering courses. The student intake is 356 and the faculty size is 51, which provides good student faculty ratio for the learning process in the institute.

MITS Rayagada has many new generation amenities, which are beneficial to create an environment that’s favourable for learning. There are hostels for boys and girls, in which 800 and 600 students can live, respectively. These are hostels that are endowed with basic facilities such as Wireless Interconnectivity, sporting activities, and round the clock security services. The institute for the welfare of its students provides a health centre that operates twenty-four hours and medical examinations frequently. To carryout a teaching function teaching facilities, such as a library and laboratories equipped with sophisticated equipment are important. The institute provides various programmes  in engineering and all the programmes are B.Tech full time. MITS Rayagada offers five specialsations in its B.Tech programmes that offers students flexibility for diversified varieties and market requirements in the country. The approved intake for all these courses is 260 meaning that the institute has been keen in making sure that quality education is provided with reasonable class sizes. Every one of them is aimed at preparing students for the effective acquisition of the most up-to-date information and methodologies concerning the relevant occupational areas.

MITS Rayagada follows basically the process of admission through marks secured in national or state level entrance tests. For admission in B.Tech, the institute uses the scores of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) and Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE).
