Makhanlal Chaturvedi Government Girls PG College, Khandwa, was setup in the year 1963, which is well known college in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. This affiliated college, which is located on an 18 acre campus, has been providing a number of courses and programmes for it’s 2,111 students. This college has 28 dedicated educators to teach the students and offers 18 courses under the 6 degree programmes. Formally recognsed by the NAAC, this institution aims for offering quality education to young women. Its package course programme consists of numerous disciplines comprising of Sciences, Arts, as well as Commerce thus offering an adequate solution to the pursuits of its learners.

Makhanlal Chaturvedi Government Girls PG College boasts number of facilities that supplements the overall learning process of the students. A well stocked library is an important logistical support centre for students as they seek various learning materials. The library advisory committee made of teachers, students and staffs solves the issue and guarantee the students needs. Free textbooks and stationery also meet the needs of SC/ST students, as indicated in this video. The college also has well equipped practical, a canteen facility and has well equipped IT support for its computerised classes. On the aspect of physical health of the students, there is the provision of gym, different sports amenities. The campus also has girls hostel for those students who lives outside the campus in order to be safe and comfortably housed.

This college provides various course programmes for which the college offers undergraduate, postgraduate courses and even diploma courses and certificates and the has 18 courses. These include full time courses of streams like Arts, Science and Commerce etc. The college offers 12 courses at the undergraduate level and six at the postgraduate level to give students maximum opportunity to select from. B.Sc in Home Science and Clinical Nutridietetis course alone has an approved intake of 17 students. It is a diverse course offering that meets the several needs of young women in the region by addressing the several academic needs that they are bound to have as they focus on their respective carrier paths. The courses include B.Sc Home Science, BA, MA in Sociology, Hindi, Music Vocal, M.Com, and so on. 

Makhanlal Chaturvedi Government Girls PG College boasts of a selective admission process that is ever so often accorded on merit. The college works under the admission policy of its affiliating university thus the admission policy of the college is in synchrony with the admission policy of the university. In general, candidates applying for undergraduate courses have to take an entrance examination followed by an interview and for the postgraduate course, the candidate should have passed the relevant bachelor’s course.
