Mandsaur Institute of Physical Education, Mandsaur, was set up in 2008 under the affiliation of Madhaya Pradesh, India. This is a specialised institution to train and produce professionals in physical education and sports sciences, which offer a B.P.Ed programme. The institute has been designed to produce skilled physical education professional approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Currently with a faculty strength of only 8 members, the college effectively offers a specialized learning environment for enthusiasts of physical education and practice of sports to become fine teachers and coaches.

Mandsaur Institute of Physical Education has a number of amenities that provide for academic growth, as well as recreational amenities to support sports. Boys and girls hostels are well equipped to provide accommodative facilities for students who prefer to live in the students’ village. The college has a library for physical education and sport sciences and it functions as a repository of books, journals, electronic, print and internet resources. Physical exercise facilities available at the institute are a synthetic basketball court, a 400 meters running track with a football field, hockey field, several courts for kabaddi and kho-kho and for volleyball. Hence, badminton, table tennis, carrom and chess enthusiasts could find indoor sports facilities with great convenience. It also has up to date and fully equipped Information Technology resources and services such as the computer laboratory and wireless internet facility throughout the institute for use in computing and internet based learning and other scholarly pursuits.

Mandsaur Institute of Physical Education provides only one course as it is a self-finance college and the course offered is The Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) programme. It may be assumed that theoretical concepts are complemented with practical skills and training, as the institute is equipped with broad sports facilities.

Admission of students in the B.P.Ed programme in Mandsaur Institute of Physical Education is in accordance to national norms provided by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and state norms set by the Higher Education department of Madhya Pradesh.
