• 10% concession on Course fee to the immediate siblings of SMIT Students for taking admission in B Tech course.

Manipal University is situated in Manipal , Karnataka, India and is one of the top ranked private universities in India. Sikkim Manipal is another campus of the Manipal University but way inferior to it.

Moreover the placement records in Manipal university is quite good and high as compared to the Sikkim branch.

There is not much difference in fees of both the institutions.

The hostel facility is provided to both the boys and girls. The hostel fee is different for both boys and girls. The hostel fee for boys is 1,29,000/- per year. The hostel fee for girls 1,09,000/- per year. The hostel facilties are excellent. You can definitely fee the hostel as the 5 star hotel rather than a hostel environment. The hostels are fully Centrally Airconditioned. The hostel environment is good. The toilets are clean. You get Geaser for every bathroom. The hostels are given as single occupancy/ double occupancy or sharing room. You can choose which occupancy you need. There is a TV in each room. They also provide Aerobics centre, Gymnasium, Swimming pool, etc. For more details about this university you  here:

Yes,  you can take Lateral entry admission in MIT, Manipal institute of technology.

MIT allows lateral entry in all their B.Tech courses. Pass in 3 year Diploma granted by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government, and get at least 45 % percentage in that. YOU can get admission on the basis of MET entrance exam of MIT.

100% course fee waiver for candidates who have secured a rank in top 100 in Manipal Entrance Test (MET).

Candidates securing a rank between 101 and 1000 in MET exam shall be offered scholarship based on the annual family income:
