Established in 1986, Marathwada Mitra Mandal's College of Commerce is a prestigious private college in Pune, Maharashtra. Affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, MMCC is one of the frontline colleges, famous for its different courses in the faculties of Commerce, Management, Computer Science, and Mass Communication. This college, which is spread on a 2.63-acre campus, has a total student enrolment of 3,790 and faculty strength of 68. MMCC has been awarded an 'A' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, which speaks for its commitment to excellence in educational standards. The Institute offers a vast range of courses, from 12 full-time programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels to postgraduate diploma courses. The sanctioned intake of students in its various courses equals 1,430. These courses are diverse in nature—conventional degrees in commerce, such as B.Com and M.Com, and specialized programs, including BBA in International Business and Computer Applications, B.Sc. in Computer Science, and MA in Journalism and Mass Communication.

Admission at MMCC Pune is based majorly on merit; there are a few course specific procedures. The undergraduate courses are the merit-based programs that include B. Com, BBA, and B.Sc Computer Science. The Merit Lists are prepared based on the performances of the 12th standard examination candidates. For postgraduates such as M.Com and MA, scores from graduation courses could be considered. In some instances, entrance examinations are also used to prepare admission merit lists. Most of the courses require the college to accept applications around May-June, corresponding with the academic calendar of Savitribai Phule Pune University.
