Mata Maiserkhana College of Education for Girls, at Bathinda, was started in the year 2006 which has all the infrastructure facilities and aims at providing education to women. This affiliated college is situated in Punjab & it comes under the recognition of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). It has two programmes in education, specialisations which provide total student place for 174 students. Of them, there are 11 faculties which dedicated themselves to educate the learners and for the college, the student to teacher ratio is improved so, it assists to focus each learner as well as their academic success.

Mata Maiserkhana College of Education for Girls is equipped with a variety of chic equipments that facilitate learning in the college. Among the facilities, which make up the entire academic resources, there is a library that contains 5202 books and journals cutting across Education, Science, Arts, Language, Home Science and Physical Education. There is a total of 13 educational journal subscriptions, 8 newspapers, 5 magazines and over 300 reference books in the library making it a knowledge base. The campus has modern information technology facilities capable of preparing the students for the modern technological nation. For comprehensive growth, the college have given this provision of a sporting area and a cafeteria for the students to take their snacks. Well-being is also valued offering first aid from the medical centre in the building. The college also has an auditorium for occasion and seminars hence, improving the college’s active procedural life.

Mata Maiserkhana College of Education for Girls offers two full-time courses, a two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and a two-year Master of Arts in Education (MA Education). One of the major programmes offered by the institute is the B.Ed programme which has an approved intake capacity of one hundred students, the numbers speaking volume of the course and the capacity of the college in producing quality educators. 

The admission policy of Mata Maiserkhana College of Education for Girls was in accordance to the policy set by the Punjabi University and Government of Punjab. Selection of the candidates for B.Ed programme is competitive as the candidates are selected according to the merits attained in the entrance test conducted by the Punjab Government.
