Mata Mohan Dai Oswal College of Nursing is one of the premier nursing college in Ludhiana and was established in the year 1986. Situated at GT Road, Sherpur By Pass, this affiliated college occupies a land area of 7.75 acres which provides and affirming atmosphere for young generation of healthcare professionals. It is affiliated with the INC which maintains high standards of education in colleges. The total strength of the students is 354 and the faculty members is 12 in number so they can give proper attention to each student.

Mata Mohan Dai Oswal College of Nursing has numerous installations which will help support the learning processes of a student. A well stocked library is having more than 3000 books and latest textbooks are there along with the national and international journals and newspapers are also subscribed. There is a girls hostel well equipped to meet their needs and provide them with comfortable accommodation through the nicely sized rooms and recreation rooms as well as Internet facilities. To supplement their practical sessions, students have a health cnetre with first aid amenities. As for the health of children, the college also pays great attention through a playground for various types of outdoor sports like basketball, volleyball, badminton, etc. In support of academic functions in the institution, IT facilities and systems are provided alongside with a seminar hall that can accommodate up to two hundred people for seminar presentations, workshops, and conferences.

The Mata Mohan Dai Oswal College of Nursing provides three courses of nursing education to meet the need of full time studies. There is B.Sc. Nursing programme which is a four year course and the nursing faculty admitted one hundred students.. For those who want to be awarded a diploma, college offers Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery course which takes three years and admission capacity of 60. Also for registered nurses who want to upgrade themselves, there is a two years Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing programme with 30 seats. Altogether, the college has provision for 190 students for these courses and all of them are full time courses with aim to produce proficient and empathetic nurses.

At present, the admission into Mata Mohan Dai Oswal College of Nursing is done after every candidate sits for all-India BFUHS examinations held in Faridkot. This applies to all the programme that the college offers including the B.Sc. Nursing, GNM and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing. The college also uses a selection criteria that only qualified students are allowed to get a chance and study nursing.
