Hello student,
Although we are not eligible in the top 20 percentile, you must not prevent yourself from registering in the josaa counselling. As you belong to OBC category, you may get a seat in government funded colleges in which the seat allotment is done via josaa counselling.
I would suggest you to go for it and hope for the best.
Cheers!
Greetings to you,
As per JOSAA guidelines, it is mandatory to present medical certificate during the counselling verification process. If a candidate fails to do so, he/she may lose his/her respective candidature and most probably won't be allowed further in the counselling procedure. So I urge you to get all the necessary documents before the verification process begin if you don't want to get into any sort of problems and issues. Good luck.
Dear candidate,
Below are the list of all the documents required for JoSAA 2019. Candidates are required to bring all the given documents to the reporting centres on the date and time allotted to them.
Hi Aspirant,
JOSAA is the common counselling platform for both JEE Mains and Advanced.
Now, according to your rank, category and previous years trends, congratulations, you are eligible for getting both NIT and IIT!
Below is the list of best options for you:
etc.
Make sure you fill the counselling choices carefully to get the best college and branch.
I hope the above information is helpful to you.
Good Luck!!
Dear,
Percentile Score shows the percentage of candidates who have scored equal to or below a particular percentile in an exam. It is the normalized score and not the raw scores. After normalization, each topper of a session will get the same percentile of 100 which is the desirable one. Also the marks between the lowest and highest scores are also converted to the respective percentiles. So say for example you have a 99 percentile, only 1% students have scored more than you. Basically joSAA gives ranking based on your percentile. Student with 99.1 percentile will have a greater ranking than one with 99 percentile. If 2 students have same percentile then their marks in different subjects are compared and given a ranking.
Hope this helps! Feel free to ask further queries!
Hello,
This is the first time the ews category has ever been implented so no one really has a clarity about this. So I suggest you to participate in the counselling fill out your options, when the results of the first round comes out you will have a vague idea about and you can go from there.
Good Luck!
You can expect that the cut-off for the general gender neutral category will go slightly up for each of the branches in almost every colleges taking admission through JOSAA.
So maybe if CSE at MNIT Jaipur closed at 4800 for general boys then it might close at 4650 this year. This is just an example and not to be taken seriously.
People say that supernumerary seats are being created but the same was said for girls quota and still the cut-off went up for general category boys last year in 2018.
I am sorry kiddo but it seems like with a rank of around 1,08,000 you cannot get a seat in any of the JOSAA institutes including NITs/IIITs/GFTIs and this I am saying for all branches and not just computer science.
However, if you belong to some reserved category of ST then you have great chances of getting CSE/ECE in quite a few colleges.
Since you have not given me information regarding this, I cannot help you any furthur!
