The Matha College of Nursing, Sivaganga (MCN), a well-known institution, offers a range of nursing programs. The college has the recognition of the Indian Nursing Council (INC), and explicitly follows admission processes to select able students to various nursing programs. Degree Wise Admission Procedure

B.Sc Nursing: Admission to the B.Sc Nursing program of MCN is based on merit, with the entrance test: 50 seats. Selection for this four-year undergraduate course will be based on the marks of higher secondary or Pre-University (+2) examination with those prescribed subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. However, the applicant may write either a state entrance examination or an institutional entrance examination.

GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery): The total number of seats under this Nurse Training is 50 at the MCN. This nursing diploma is of three years' duration and, in most cases, would require the candidates to possess passing grades at the level of 10+2 in science subjects. Admission may involve the entrance test and consideration of the marks at 10+2.

MSc Nursing: The MSc Nursing programs available at the college have a specialization in the below fields, each with an intake of 2:

4. MSc Psychiatric Nursing
5. MSc Community Health Nursing

An MSc candidate must hold either a BSc Nursing or a Post Basic BSc Nursing. Admission is generally through an entrance test followed by counseling based on merit.
