Matoshree Vimalabai Deshmukh Mahavidyalaya of Amravati was established in the year 1956 and is one of the premier colleges in Maharashtra, India. This affiliated college, accredited with a grade B by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, offers a wide range of undergraduate courses in a variety of subjects. The college is spread over a 2-acre campus with a total student enrolment of 1,778; of these, females constitute 61% and males account for 39%. With a teaching faculty of 16 members and 5 courses for 3 distinct degree programs including arts, commerce and sciences, the college also boasts some very special courses offered like home science.
