Maxim Institute of Technology (MIT), Bhopal, was established in the year 2009 and it is affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal. This is a co-ed institution is accredited by the All India Council of Technical Education for the standard compliance of its technical education programmes. 

MIT has many amenities for students’ academic and personal development needs as outlined below. Others include provision of aseptic hostels for the boys and the girls who study from other areas to improve on their accommodation standards. A library is a collection of documents and information resources for use by students in their studies. The interested persons in sports activities are served by facilities for different sports such as sports for physical fitness. The institute also possesses I.T resources which are important while following the advancement in this area of learning. A cafeteria is also available on the compound which provides accommodation for student relaxation and interaction among themselves during breaks.

MIT has six courses all of which are full time, regular programmes being offered in the Institute. These include Be in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. By the order of direct admission, BE Mechanical Engineering course has the largest number of seats to accommodate 60, while 30seats are available in each of the remaining three courses. Altogether there are 150 seats in all the engineering disciplines the institute offers which makes it possible for student to get individual coaching if the need arises.

Admission at Maxim Institute of Technology, Bhopal is based on the standards of most engineering colleges in Madhya Pradesh state. However, for the quotas admitted through the examination and other standardised tests. This college may accept scores from common engineering entrance exam, since it is approved by the AICTE.
