One of the reputed standalone institutes, MBC Institute of Engineering and Technology, was established in 1893 at Sadhanpur, Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal. This co-educational institution has been perceptibly building the future of budding engineers since its inception over a century ago. The institute has an enrolment of 893 students and a faculty strength of 15. It offers a wide array of diploma programs in engineering streams.

After declaration of results, admissions in JEXPO are done through an online counselling process. This institute also offers admission based on the results of the VOCLET examination for candidates with specific vocational backgrounds.
