Mithila Teachers Training College, set up in the year 2007 at Madhubani, Bihar, is an institute approved by National Council for Teacher Education. The only co-educational college that has affiliation from National Assessment and Accreditation Council has been accredited and approved for its quality of performance. The total enrollment of students is 300 and the faculty strength of the college is 32. The learning environment in Mithila Teachers Training College is directed towards the aspirant teachers who are eager to render their services in the field of teaching.

Mithila Teachers Training College has well-established infrastructure to further the learning processes. A well-maintained library with books amounting to more than 4000, which includes reference books, textbooks, and encyclopedias on education, provides richness for the pursuit of academic interests. Sports facilities and a gym make provision for physical fitness to complement the academic development of the students. Specialised laboratories provide hands-on learning for subjects like the Language Learning Lab, Geography, Life Science, and Psychology. The college has also provided an auditorium for events and seminars, a canteen meant for refreshments, and a health entre with first-aid facilities to ensure comfort and safety for all students within its walls. Mithila Teachers Training College offers two full-time courses to meet the needs of teachers at different levels of education.

At the undergraduate level, it offers a two-year B.Ed course with approved strength of 100 and another two-year program in D.El.Ed with the same intake capacity. 

Admission to both B.Ed and D.El.Ed courses is strictly given on merit, counting marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examinations. The college follows the policies adopted by the state government of Bihar and that which is affiliated by the university while admitting students to the institution.
