MM Ali and SM Teachers' Training Institute, Birbhum is a co-educational institution established in the year 2013 with a view to offering dedicated service in the state of West Bengal, India. Being an affiliated college, the institute is a recognized institution with National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). With an enrolment of 89 students in total and a faculty strength of 10, the institute gives focus to learning for aspiring teachers.

Its academic portfolio includes the Diploma in Elementary Education, D.El.Ed, and Bachelor of Education, B.Ed. The D.El.Ed course prepares the students at the elementary level with an approved intake of 100 seats. The B.Ed. programme with an intake of 50 students enables the students to acquire proper skills and knowledge for teaching at the Secondary School level. Both the programmes are of two years duration providing intensive training for the growth of competent teachers.

The admission process in MM Ali and SM Teachers' Training Institute is based on merit, following the State Government Policy or affiliated University. D.El.Ed admission is made on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination or entrance examination. The same trend is maintained for the B.Ed course, with an added feature of any other type of selection process as stipulated by the State Government or University.
