MMK and SDM Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Mysore, started in the year 1990, it is a private college for women situated at Krishnamurthypuram, Mysore. It is NAAC accredited and is also affiliated with the University of Mysore. It’s located in a campus size of 2.22 acre and has offering 9 courses in 5 degrees majorly in the stream of Management & Business Administration, Science Commerce and Computer Application & IT streams. The academic enrolment of the institute stands at 1,079 students and 45 faculty members with the student diversity of 96 percent in undergraduate and 4 percent in postgraduate. The college also has a focused vision on women education whereby all the students in this college are females.

MMK and SDM Mahila Maha Vidyalaya also posse a number of facilities that are expected to facilitate the academic and social development of the students. This building becomes one of the important research and study centre of the college, where one may find a wide range of books and information resources. Technological facilities comprise computerised classrooms, internet, and computing facilities in the form of computer laboratory to meet IT requirement of the present era. MMK and SDM Mahila Maha Vidyalaya has a wide programme portfolio encompassing 9 full time courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. The institute offers 8 under graduate programmes and 1 post graduate programme with students enrolment capacity of one thousand seventy nine. It offers under graduate level course for 3 years in commerce (B.Com), computer applications (BCA), business administration (BBA) and science stream in the various specialisation (B.Sc). The course offering of the postgraduate programme known as M.Com spans for two years. It is for this reason that these courses are structured in such a way that students will have adequate knowledge and skills with regard to their areas of specialisation and to allow them make suitable employment or continue with further education.

MMK has followed normal admission procedures of Karnataka vested by the government of Karnataka and University of Mysore and SDM Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. Admission criteria remain as follows, mainly on merit while observing the state government reservation rules.
