MNR Dental College and Hospital, Sangareddy: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

MNR Dental College and Hospital, situated in Sangareddy, was established in 2006 and the college provides dental education in the state of Telangana in India. The college is accredited with NAAC and is affiliated with DCI. Nestled on a 110 acre piece of land, MNR Dental College enrols total of 444 students and employs 95 faculty members. At present, the institute provides nine courses in two degree levels in different fields of dentistry. The college has a rich student community of 537, among which 89% students are undergraduates and the rest 11% are postgraduates and the college has a fairly good sex ratio with 83% women students in undergraduate courses.

MNR Dental College and Hospital offers various amenities to allow one effective environment to study for all students. These include hostels for boys and girls which provide decent accommodation. A good health centre equipped with first aid centre meets the medical needs of students. A college library offers students with information and several sports facilities impact their health. Other facilities include a cafeteria, an auditorium, guest house, and a gym to mention but a few add substantial value to the college campus. All these facilities playing a role in creating an effective ambience for both academic learning and the development of the total personality of the students.

This institute offer 9 course in which it offer both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. That is a flag ship programmes which is Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) being a full time course with a capacity of one hundred students. In its postgraduate level of training, the college offers several MDS programmes for which only three students are admitted. These speciality courses are Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology & Oral Microbiology, Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Periodontology, Paediatric & Preventive Dentistry, Prosthodontics & Crown & Bridges, Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and Oral Medicine & Radiology. The total student enrolment across all courses is 444 and all the programmes are taught in full time.

MNR Dental College and Hospital has highly competitive admission criteria and the admission is done in consideration of the guidelines as provided by the various bodies. Likewise for BDS programme, the basic requirement and criteria for admission is through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG). Likewise, for the MDS programmes, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS (NEET MDS) are taken into account. The college offers admission both on a state level as well as a national level and it is said that 4% of its undergraduate students and 10% of its postgraduate students belong from out of the state of Telangana. Notably, the institution has a total undergraduate student enrolment of 28,000 students of which only 33 are international students bringing diversity to the institution.
