Model B.P. Ed. College, Jalpaiguri, was set up in the year 2008 and is approved by the U.G.C., Government of India, New Delhi for B.P. Ed Physical Education and Yoga Studies only. It is a small area of 8 acre campus located at Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, India. The college offers two full-time programmes, a two-year Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) and a one year Postgraduate Diploma in Yoga Education. The college has enroled 83 students and the faculty of NCAA champion college is 12, which enforces the task of the respective faculty of providing individual attention and quality education.

Model B.P. Ed. College facilitates students for various academic and co-curricular activities with number of infrastructural amenities. Sport enthusiasts, especially those participating in college sports, have a deal in as much as sports practicing with the college’s sports facilities. As for scholarly process, the establishment provides library services that contain relevant research materials, and departmental practical laboratories. There is also a large auditorium to accommodate occasions including seminars within and outside the institution activities. This is a two-year course which aims at producing physical and education and sports coaches. The college also runs a one year Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Education to supply the jobs opening in the growth field of yoga. Both programmes are fully residential on campus based. The college firmly believed in practical, intensive mode of learning in physical education and yoga courses.
