MR College of Veterinary Sciences, Jhajjar: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

MR College of Veterinary Sciences, Jhajjar, was established in 2021; hence, it is a relatively new institution with the noble aim of imparting veterinary education. The affiliated college is located at the 6th Milestone on Jhajjar-Kosli Road State Highway No-22 in Hassanpur, Jhajjar, Haryana, and spreads over a campus of 11 acres. It currently offers a Diploma in Veterinary and Livestock Development with regard to a total enrolment of 107 students. With a faculty strength of 6 members, the college has a highly focused approach towards its veterinary education. Being a co-educational institution, the student admissions include students of all backgrounds, thereby providing an environment of diversity.

The College has various facilities for the learning and development of students. A well-stocked library is available for students and staff for use, with all relevant literature on veterinary topics in place. The institution has departmental laboratories, which form the core of practical training in veterinary sciences. The IT infrastructure of the college is quite magnificent, with a fully equipped computer laboratory containing over 100 Dual Core 2.70 GHz machines from HCL of high quality and backed by a 24-hour uninterrupted power supply. This is important in ensuring the students work with up-to-date technological resources.

MR College of Veterinary Sciences now offers only one major course—the Diploma in Veterinary and Livestock Development. Being a full-time course, it takes two years to complete, and it equips its students with depth in knowledge and skills in veterinary science and rearing of stock. The course aims at equipping the student for work in animal healthcare and livestock development sectors.
