MRD Teachers Training College being set up in the year 2013 is one of the most renowned teacher training college in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Located in the beautiful village of Sandi, Sikidiri this is an affiliated college that aims to produce qualified teachers of the future. Located in Garden City, the college occupies a small campus of just 0.99 acres which affords a more person approach to the learning process for future teachers. Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), MRD Teachers Training College provides quality teachers to the nation. It at the moment, it has a capacity of 100 students and the institution has recruited 15 qualified faculty members who make the teaching very effective.

The MRD Teachers Training College teaches two full time programs to meet the need of different faculties of teacher training. The largest of the four programmes is the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), which has an intake of 100 students for preparing human resource for teaching learning at the secondary and higher secondary level. The Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) course focuses on training students for teaching job in primary and upper primary classes. Each of the programmes takes two years to complete and covers all aspects of the pedagogy as well as teaching practices. These ones are designed in a way that they provide students with the necessary understanding of knowledge and skills requirements needed for the teaching profession.

The admission process therefore at MRD Teachers Training College is aimed at evaluating abilities of students most likely to transform teaching profession. In case of B.Ed programme, several conditions include the merit basis of the marks scored in the qualifying examination and or tests from the entrance test.
