Mukhi College of Education, Sonepat: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Mukhi College of Education, Sonepat was established in the year 2006, is a co-educational institution situated in Vishnu Nagar, Gohana, Sonepat District (Haryana). This affiliated college is accredited to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council NAAC, and recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education NCTE. Located in a 3 acre land, the college has three full-time courses in education: B.Ed, M.Ed and D.El.Ed. Since its establishment, the college has been able to enrol a total of five hundred and sixty-eight students.

Mukhi College has well stocked Library which operates as a Learning and Resource Centre with number of Management and Information Technology books, national and international journals/magazines subscriptions etc. in addition, the campus has a well-equipped modern gym health for the physical fitness of the students and it has a medical facility whereby all students receive free medical attention including dental check-up. It has amenities that include cricket, hockey, football, volleyball, tennis and badminton fields and indoor games. The college also has a good IT department to support the students’ need since they are provided with the best technology to support their learning. Other facilities of the college include a cafeteria, an auditorium used for events such as seminars, functional laboratory facilities, guest house, and parking space.

As a teacher training institution, Mukhi College of Education has a well developed curriculum that contains three courses in education. These full time programmes are offered by the institute are Bachelor in Education (B. Ed), Master in Education (M. Ed), and Diploma in Elementary Education(D. El. Ed).

The admission process at Mukhi College of Education varies depending on the course. For the B.Ed programme, admissions are based on merit, determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination conducted by Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind. M.Ed admissions are also merit-based, considering either the qualifying examination marks, an entrance examination, or any other selection process as per the policy of the state government or university. For the D.El.Ed course, the admission process is managed by SCERT Haryana, Gurgaon, which prepares the merit list for counseling.
