Mulayam Singh Mahavidyalaya, Kanpur was established in the year 2004. Mulayam Singh Mahavidyalaya, Kanpur is an affiliated college located at Sakarpur Yashoda Nagar, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. It spreads over 50.2 acres and has quality teaching. The institution has been accorded recognition by National Council for Teacher Education and undertakes two regular courses: B.Ed and D.El.Ed from this institution. It enrols a total of 127 students with a strength of 12 on the faculty. The student-teacher ratio is extremely beneficial, offering individualized attention for each learner. 

This institution boasts an array of facilities that add a new dimension to the educational experience. There are two-year full-time courses of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and two years of full-time Diploma in Elementary Education, D.El.Ed. Both the courses have an intake of 100 students each. There are 200 seats in total in the institution. The courses allow the students to equip themselves with skills and knowledge to take up the responsibility at elementary or secondary levels. 

Admission is merit-based, based upon the marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The admissions to B.Ed programs are held strictly on the basis of state government/UT administration and university selection criteria. On the other hand, the admission guidelines for D.El.Ed are provided by the state government or the UT administration.
