The Muna College of Education situated at Parangipettai started in 2010 is co-educational college that mainly focuses on the education of teachers. This is an affiliated college situated in Tamil Nadu, India which is NAAC accredited and which is approved by the NCTE of India, approved for teacher education. Located on a campus measuring 1 acre, the college currently offers a place to number of 99 learners and a staff of 16 faculties. Muna College of Education has only one programme of study that is the Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) which has a total capacity of 100 students making it COMMITTED to the production of quality teachers.

Muna College of Education has had facilities that are intended to complement student learning as illustrated below. It is a knowledge base, which needs knowledge keepers, this library opens from Monday to Saturday having books and educational magazines. In the area of practicals the institution facilities well equipped laboratories such as the Computer Science Laboratory, the Physics Laboratory, and the Psychology Laboratory. There are sporting facilities for the physical growth of the student as well as infrastructure for Information Technology that is relevant in education now. The college also has two different hostels for both boys and girls with well ventilated, purified drinking water and clean bathrooms.

Muna College of Education has solely confined to its two-year full time B. Ed programme and has an intake capacity of one hundred students only as per affiliation. Such a model enables the college focus on offering well-trained personnel in education. According to the programme, a student can undergo a thorough training to become an efficient teacher in order to meet the needs of a growing society. Unfortunately, graduation data for the latest year are missing, still, the ratio of students per faculty proves the college’s desire to help students improve the performance and achieve the high result.

Admission at Muna College of Education follows the stitches laid down at the state level, UT level and finally the university requirement. Some of the criteria for admissions include; The marks obtained in the qualifying examination and or entrance examination.
