Murarai Government Polytechnic, Murarai: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Murarai Government Polytechnic was established in the year 2016 at Bon Mohurapur, Murarai, West Bengal. This is an affiliated and co-ed institution having a campus area of 5 acres with the approval of the AICTE. At present, the polytechnic offers three diploma programs catering to an enrolment of 289 students. It is proud to have a faculty strength of 13, delivering favorable student-teacher ratios, thus assuring the students of personalised attention by all teachers. 

Murarai Government Polytechnic offers technical education in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Survey Engineering. With the pride of mammoth 4,000 sq. ft. of storage space, the library serves more than 3,800 books with 300+ titles and the latest journals available in hard copy and online versions. This commitment to the enhancement of technology at the Institute is further manifested in its IT infrastructure, comprising of a centralised Computer Centre and Mini Computer Laboratories of every department. Leading from this, well-equipped labs will be accessed for practicing purposes. One of them is the language laboratory which would assist in improving the proficiency of English and interview skills of students. There is also a spacious 3000 sq ft seminar hall with a capacity of 200 people for guest lectures, industry interactions, and educational conferences on the campus.

Murarai Government Polytechnic conducts three full-time diploma courses with a duration of three years each: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Diploma in Survey Engineering. Each of these programmes has an approved intake of 60 students, thus totalling 180 seats. Emphasis is given to these specialised fields in order to meet whooping demand for technical workforce in the region and beyond.

Apart from academic activities, Murarai Government Polytechnic provides education in the overall personality development of the students.
