Established in the year 1958, Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur (NVC Nagpur), is one of the most reputed colleges in the field of veterinary education and research. This constituent college is situated in Seminary Hills, Nagpur (Maharashtra), in a huge campus of 315.38 acres. The institution delivers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral studies in the field of veterinary science. The College provides a vibrant environment for learning and research in the area of Animal Health and Husbandry, with an overall student enrolment being 456 and faculty strength of 61.
The institute offers four specialized courses across three degree levels, catering to diverse aspects of veterinary science and animal care. So, it is a really strong institute with an excellent commitment toward the facilities provided to the students. The college also has adequate separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls—highly secured and well furnished, providing students with a homely environment. The boys' hostel has 104 undergraduate and 14 postgraduate rooms. On the other hand, twin-sharing comfortable accommodation is offered by the girls' hostel in the new building. A neat and hygienic, reasonably priced mess is available in both the hostels. The college is supported with a good library having over 41,000 textbooks, about 740 e-books, and several journals of relevance for animal science, fisheries, and dairy technology. There is a provision for a gym, a health center with a first aid and other facilities, modern laboratories for the students to use for practical and other such activities.
There are a total of four courses imparted by the college, all being full-time programs. These include one undergraduate (B.V.Sc Animal Husbandry), one postgraduate program (M.V.Sc Clinical), and two doctoral programs (Ph.D in Anatomy and Ph.D in Animal Nutrition). The intake for B.V.Sc Animal Husbandry is approved to have 81 seats, while for other courses. There is, therefore, a strong emphasis on veterinary sciences in the courses offered in an attempt to provide learners with the requisite knowledge in theory together with practical skills, in animal care and research.

The admission process at Nagpur Veterinary College is merit-based and competitive. Admissions to the B.V.Sc & A.H. degree course are made according to NEET-UG examination merit. The college also accepts the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for different courses. In regard to the admission dates, the institute does not provide any specific dates, but students are advised to keep a regular monitoring on the NEET-UG and MHT CET test/examination dates because that constitutes a crucial requirement during the admission process at NVC Nagpur. The NEET 2021 exam was conducted on 12 September and the cut off is yet to be announced. The answer key will tentatively be announced by the 25th of September and the results will be announced on October 10th by the National Testing Agency. The estimated marks required for the general candidate in Tamil Nadu is 580+. It will help you choose from a variety of colleges in your state.

the Minimum marks in NEET to get into a Veterinary College are 350+ for General category. In general it ranges between 300–450. If you are applying for an all India quota (15%) then it may increase upto 400 for General category student.
as in nagpur college if you score a mark of 500 plus you can surely expect to get an admission in the college. however there are someother factors which effects the rank but an high score can you get you to a safe side and increaase your chances of getting admission in the college of your wishlist
