Founded in 1988, Nakachari College, Jorhat, is a co-educational institution located in Nakachari, Jorhat, Assam. This affiliated college offers various undergraduate courses in the field of Arts. The 28.12 acres campus hosts a total student enrolment of 347 students with a faculty strength of 23 members at present.  

The most central among all these facilities is the College Library, which comprises a substantial number of more than 13,430 books stock covering all types of subjects. It also has subscribed to many journals, magasines, and newspapers, which act as a great source of learning for the student community. Adjacent to the library is a spacious reading room that provides an ideal atmosphere for students to study and do research work. In addition, Nakachari College is well equipped in terms of its IT infrastructure, thereby availing the opportunity of learning with the latest technology to the students. It also has department-based laboratories that enable practical, hands-on learning experiences wherever applicable. 

All programs come under the degree of Bachelor of Arts, with general BA and major specialisations options available. Nakachari College offers six courses under two degree programs in different disciplines of Arts such as Economics, Assamese, Education, History, and Political Science.
