For CSE Mary college of education came into existence in the year 2006 is a co-educational institution located at patiala and belongs to the state of Punjab. This affiliated college offers programme in the field of teaching and is recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). located on Warraichan Road it provides only two educational courses and its total number of students is 286. It is further aimed at producing educators with professional competencies; in theoretical concepts as well as in the teaching field at Nancy College of Education.

Mary college of education has a number of facilities to make student learning more effective as well as their all-round development. The library is well endowed and forms the core teaching and learning resource base of the institute with over 21500 books, bound periodicals and magazine subscriptions, research and thesis collection . Nancy College of Education offers two full-time courses: A one year Bachelor of Education (B.ED) course and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.ED) course. Two courses are offered here namely the B.Ed programme for which has an approved intake capacity of one hundred and the D.El.Ed programme has a sanctioned intake for fifty students Accordingly, It has been decided that the institution will offer only two programmes for the session—B.Ed programme for one hundred students and D.El.Ed programme for fifty students. These programmes are intended to prepare students for being competent teachers who can work at different levels of the school system.

The admission requirements in Nancy College of Education however differ according to the course of study. The B.Ed course admissions are granted on the basis of the Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab University, Chandigarh, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar CET scores. As a result, these candidates receive offers of admission in our institutions after passing this entrance examination. The admissions for the D.El.Ed programme are centralised by SCERT Punjab based on the norms suggested by SCERT, NCTE and the Punjab Government.
